I ordered this coconut milk to use primarily with my Chicken Tikka Massala - I cook it regularly but wanted to make a low fat version that didn't have a lot of additives in - this is water and coconut and that's it. This means that it is runnier than I am used to but it tastes quite strongly of coconut and it just means I add less water than I usually would and maybe reduce down a little more.I feel better cooking from scratch and processed food is high on my list of things I want to exclude - there are certain things, you can't eliminate entirely but where I can, I do.In summary, this is a fine tasting coconut milk that is low fat and organic and I can recommend based on quality and value(for this 24 pack) if that is what you are after.

Really impressed with this coconut water. Tastes clean and natural without being overly sweet, and it’s very refreshing chilled. Great for hydration after workouts or during hot weather. The multipack offers good value for money compared to buying individual cartons, and the quality has been consistently good. Would definitely buy again.

Buying this in a case of 24 works out at under a pound per tin, which is properly good value if you go through coconut milk regularly in your cooking. Coconut milk is naturally high in fat and calories, so a low fat version like this one is a solid option if you are watching either of those, and it has clearly been formulated with that in mind.What you lose with the lower fat content is some of the richness and that thick, almost buttery quality you get from the full fat tins, so do not expect the same clinginess in a sauce or curry straight out of the can without help. The ingredients list is refreshingly short though, basically just coconut and water, which I liked, but it does mean you will need to reduce it down a bit longer or add your own thickener if you want a curry with real body to it. The flavour is noticeably lighter too, less of that deep coconut hit you get from the heavier version.This has let me work coconut milk based meals into the week far more often without worrying about the fat and calorie count creeping up, and at this price for a case of 24 it is an easy one to keep stocked in the cupboard for exactly that reason.

I've been using this coconut milk as a substitute for regular cow's milk due to lactose intolerance. So far, I've used this to make creamy katsu curry and mashed potatoes. Each tin has a metal ring pull, so there's no need to pull out a can opener. If you find it difficult to open, I would recommend wedging a spoon underneath and twisting the spoon until it opens. The consistency of the coconut milk is quite watery, and I would recommend shaking it before every use, as it starts to separate from the water and the coconut flesh. This works as an amazing substitute for milk, and I can taste the subtle coconut flavour in the mashed potatoes, but not as much in the curry due to all the other strong spices. This is great value for 24 tins of coconut milk. I would definitely get it again.
